RON BLACK, CHORUS DIRECTOR
Ron attended both Occidental and Immaculate Heart Colleges in Los Angeles, majoring in Renaissance vocal and instrumental performance. He has also conducted both vocal and instrumental performances of classical works and musical theater. Ron sang bass in the Great Western Timbre Company, 1986 FWD quartet champions and 15th place international in 1988, and current 3rd Place Senior Quartet Medalist, as well as bass with Rhythm and Rhyme to 14th place in 1997.
He is the director of the Heart of Texas Chorus in San Marcos, Texas - most recently taking 13th place at the 2006 International contest. He has directed the Fresno Gold Note Chorus and Bay Area Metro Chorus, and has directed the past medalist San Diego Sun Harbor Chorus. Besides coaching quartets and choruses in the U.S. and abroad, he is a past Society Category Specialist in Singing, a past Society Contest & Judging Chairman, and now judges the Music Category. Ron and Jo live near New Braunfels, Texas. Ron is also on the music faculty at Texas State University San Marcos as the Men’s Chorus conductor. Jo is a 35 year member of Sweet Adeline’s International, having won many 1st place Regional Quartet Champion awards as a bass and once as a lead - placing as high as 8th in SAI International quartet competition, and earning a gold medal with the San Diego Chorus. |

The final payment is due November 1, 2007. You will receive a confirmation of deposit from Travelex International Inc.
